Making a plan for your business is not only a good way to keep you on track, it also let’s you see just how much you’ve achieved and is an essential part of any good business model.

Your individual goals don’t need to be complicated, they just need to help you get where you want to be.

A goal without a plan is just a wish. – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

So, this simple worksheet includes a reminder of SMART goal setting and gives you space to record one goal for your business. Print off multiple copies of the second page to plan more goals or use this as a starting point to create your own planning file within an Excel spreadsheet, Word document or note software like OneNote – and check in often to see that you are measuring and making progress towards your goals.

TOP TIP: Don’t create too many SMART goals – around 3-4 is plenty to get started! That way as you achieve each you can start another, rather than committing to too many goals and completing none of them!
